Locked away from society in an apartment on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, the Angulo brothers learn about the outside world through the films that they watch. Nicknamed the Wolfpack, the brothers spend their childhood re-enacting their favorite films using elaborate homemade props and costumes. With no friends and living on welfare, they feed their curiosity, creativity, and imagination with film, which allows them to escape from their feelings of isolation and loneliness. Everything changes when one of the brothers escapes, and the power dynamics in the house are transformed. The Wolfpack must learn how to integrate into society without disbanding the brotherhood. Greetings again from the darkness - from the Dallas International Film Festival. In what is one of the oddest real life stories I have ever seen, director Crystal Moselle takes her camera inside the Lower East Side apartment of the Angulo family 6 brothers, one sister, and their parents. In their spare time, the kids re-enact movies within the apartment using elaborate costumes, sets and props. And no, that's not the odd part. Despite being mostly teenagers, these siblings have only left their apartment a few times in their life a very few times maybe once or twice a year, and not at all one year. They have been home schooled by their mother and are quite charming and articulate, despite the quasi-prison environment. The kids are not abused in the physical sense, but an argument can be made that mental anguish is in play here. Their movie scenes are fun to watch, especially given their Tarantino leanings with Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction. Ms. Moselle manages to capture a significant amount within the confines of the apartment. Her interviews with the boys are enlightening, but it's the mother that provides the most context. Her regrets and dashed dreams for her kids cause her much pain, and it's quite clear that the dad has some type of psychological vice grip on the family. The dad raises some eyebrows when he states "My power is influencing people". As viewers, we don't see this, but there is physical proof to his claim. With no shortage of powerful moments, there are still two that jump off the screen. The first occurs as the boys head out on their own to watch their first movie in a real theatre, and then have such a fan boy moment after watching The Fighter. The second involves the mom having a conversation with her mother after not speaking for more than two decades. It's an emotional moment. We can't help but like the boys and pull for them to find some normalcy outside the walls of the apartment. Their final film project needs no additional commentary as the lead character watches various emotions travel past his window. fitting since a NYC apartment window provided this family its only glances at the real world for so many years

Comment For The Wolfpack Film Entier Streaming Complet

Name : David Edelstein / Alias : New York Magazine/Vulture
The Wolfpack is a reminder that much of the "crap" we decry has the potential to liberate, offering a bridge off the island of terror we call the nuclear family.

Name : Peter Howell / Alias : Toronto Star
[It] has to be seen to be believed.

Name : Kenneth Turan / Alias : Los Angeles Times
Even in the context of Tolstoy's famous dictum that every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way, the story of the Angulo brothers stands out.

Name : Joshua Rothkopf / Alias : Time Out
Filmmaker Crystal Moselle has seized onto terrifically compelling material, and while she hangs back with admirable distance, Grey Gardens-like, you wonder how she earned the Angulos' trust.

Name : Peter Rainer / Alias : Christian Science Monitor
Undeniably fascinating.

Name : Michael O'Sullivan / Alias : Washington Post
More than a testament to the power of cinematic storytelling as food for the human spirit, "The Wolfpack" also is a portrait of a family that has had to rely on each other to survive.

Name : Manohla Dargis / Alias : New York Times
Sometimes, all you need is a great subject to make a great documentary - or a willingness to chase after total strangers.

Name : Peter Travers / Alias : Rolling Stone
What if all you knew of the world came from Hollywood movies? That's a loaded question - and Crystal Moselle's gripping doc runs with it. You won't be able to pull your eyes off the screen.

Name : Ella Taylor / Alias : NPR
Moselle is also a patient observer who, without judgment or superfluous underlining, gradually teases out the pathos and the riveting dramas - some dark and disturbing, some bizarrely entertaining and heartening - of the parents.

Name : Mick LaSalle / Alias : San Francisco Chronicle
We are presented with something peculiar, that's noteworthy mainly for it's just being weird. Frankly, it's not weird enough to completely engage viewers for more than 90 minutes.

Name : John DeFore / Alias : Hollywood Reporter
Scratching the surface of a story one suspects is a good deal thornier than what's explicitly shown here, Crystal Moselle's The Wolfpack introduces a gang of siblings who have been raised in near-complete isolation in downtown Manhattan.

Name : Wesley Morris / Alias : Grantland
What a sad, strange, intoxicating movie.

Name : Scott Foundas / Alias : Variety
There is much to enjoy in director Crystal Moselle's debut documentary feature, which if nothing else begs a where-are-they-now sequel a few years down the road.

Name : Katharine Pushkar / Alias : New York Daily News
There is a train-wreck quality to this film. The story is so astounding, you can't look away.

Name : Ignatiy Vishnevetsky / Alias : AV Club
What starts as a nonfiction mood piece grows frustratingly opaque as the brothers begin to venture out into the real world, meet girls, and get jobs.

Name : Amy Nicholson / Alias : L.A. Weekly
A Manhattan fable about fear

Name : Moira MacDonald / Alias : Seattle Times
A strange and fascinating experience; you feel like you've been given entry into a mysterious world, where no one else is permitted.

Name : Simon Houpt / Alias : Globe and Mail
If the film is patchy, it shows promise. Thankfully, so do the boys themselves.

Name : Anthony Lane / Alias : New Yorker
Their virtual imprisonment has shaped but not ruined them, and we slowly see them venture into the wilds of regular existence.

Comment For Gold Estrenos Cine

Name : Glenn Lovell / Alias : San Jose Mercury News
A 14-carat stinker, delivered with little sense of fun and less inspiration.

Name : Charles Taylor / Alias : Salon.com
Structurally and formally, Goldmember is a mess. What saves it is that Myers possesses in spades the thing that's crucial for comedy: an absolute lack of embarrassment and the willingness to go with his gut instinct.

Name : Clarence Tsui / Alias : Hollywood Reporter
Golden Kingdom's theological backbone is fleshed out by a warm and endearing portrayal of its characters' childhood innocence.

Name : James Berardinelli / Alias : ReelViews
Qualities that were once amusing are becoming irritating.

Name : Andrew Sarris / Alias : New York Observer
It's all amateur-night vaudeville and movies within movies that degenerate into total inanity.

Name : Steven Rosen / Alias : Denver Post
With so many impersonations to keep track off, director Jay Roach winds up moving between Myers and Myers so often that the editing feels like a crude cut-and-paste job.

Name : Mike Clark / Alias : USA Today
The Powers team has fashioned a comedy with more laughs than many, no question. But this time there's some mold on the gold.

Name : Stephen Holden / Alias : New York Times
When a movie is as down-and-out funny as Austin Powers in Goldmember, it's easy to overlook the missed opportunities and fizzled jokes littering the barrage of hilarity.

Name : Eleanor Ringel Gillespie / Alias : Atlanta Journal-Constitution
The reason this picture works better than its predecessors is that Myers is no longer simply spoofing the mini-mod-madness of '60s spy movies.

Name : Geoff Pevere / Alias : Toronto Star
This is a movie that's trying in too many senses of the word.

Name : Tom Maurstad / Alias : Dallas Morning News
Watching Austin Powers in Goldmember is like binging on cotton candy. It's sweet and fluffy at the time, but it may leave you feeling a little sticky and unsatisfied.

Name : Richard Roeper / Alias : Ebert & Roeper
I think this is the funniest of the three movies and I liked the first two.

Name : Dennis Lim / Alias : Village Voice
Star/writer Mike Myers and director Jay Roach struggle visibly with exhausted possibilities and diminishing returns.

Name : Paul Clinton (CNN.com) / Alias : CNN.com
It's amusing, but you may find that you're over it.

Name : Bill Muller / Alias : Arizona Republic
The result plays like a series of skits, but the gags are so funny that it works anyway.

Name : Mark Olsen / Alias : L.A. Weekly
Myers' puppy-dog tenacity to that cast-iron tenet of low comedy, disarming and even somewhat charming in the first film, now has an air of careerist desperation about it.

Name : Susan Stark / Alias : Detroit News
Austin and Dr. Evil remain the most inventively detailed characters played by the franchise's star, guiding light and principal beneficiary. He's cheerful and energetic as ever.

Name : Roger Ebert / Alias : Chicago Sun-Times
The movie is a little tired; maybe the original inspiration has run its course.

Name : Ty Burr / Alias : Boston Globe
The most consistently funny of the Austin Powers films.

Name : Peter Travers / Alias : Rolling Stone
All praise to Michael Caine, who plays Austin's studly spy daddy, Nigel, and to Beyonce Knowles, who turns on Pam Grier sass as agent Foxxy Cleopatra. But hit-and-miss skits trying to pass as a coherent time-traveling plot reduce them to bystanders.

Name : Terry Lawson / Alias : Detroit Free Press
The '60s satire that made the first movie such a hip trip is now just so much polka-dotted wallpaper; the jokes are now almost exclusively confined to orifices and excretions.

Name : Carrie Rickey / Alias : Philadelphia Inquirer
Despite the firecracker energy of Beyonce Knowles, on hand as Foxxy Cleopatra, a tribute to bootylicious blaxploitation babe Pam Grier, the film is almost a complete fizzle.

Name : Jonathan Foreman / Alias : New York Post
Uneven, self-conscious but often hilarious spoof.

Name : Ken Jaworowski / Alias : New York Times
Approaching the story for the traditional trappings - narrative, action, even logic - is to ensure disappointment. But look to it for beauty and lyricism, and you may find a deeper satisfaction.

Name : Stephen Hunter / Alias : Washington Post
The level of inventiveness remains high.

Name : David Edelstein / Alias : Slate
It's an ode to indecent joy.

Name : Moira MacDonald / Alias : Seattle Times
Not much else in this third Austin Powers sequel is new or memorable.

Name : Michael Rechtshaffen / Alias : Los Angeles Times
At its most absorbing, Lasseter's story plays like an Aussie Treasure of the Sierra Madre, in which the main subject is a bit of a cypher whose true nature proves to be as difficult to pinpoint as that elusive gold.

Name : Kenneth Turan / Alias : Los Angeles Times
Myers' idea of a movie turns out to be similar to Ed Sullivan's idea for a variety show: Toss in a little bit of everything and hope for the best.

Name : Neil Young / Alias : Hollywood Reporter
Sometimes all a documentary needs is one strong, charismatic personality to keep things watchable: Garnet's Gold boasts two in the form of the middle-aged eponymous protagonist and his feisty octogenarian mother.

Name : Kirk Honeycutt / Alias : Hollywood Reporter
The misses outweigh the hits by a wide margin.

Name : Michael Wilmington / Alias : Chicago Tribune
A shapeless, derivative-but-funny show.

Name : Liam Lacey / Alias : Globe and Mail
Even if the gag-to-wince ratio isn't high, there are enough punchlines thrown here to make a sphinx smirk.

Name : Mick LaSalle / Alias : San Francisco Chronicle
Goldmember delivers.

Name : Todd McCarthy / Alias : Variety
The laughs are here, to be sure, although even some of the best of them are retreads and the Swinging '60s recycling act is now feeling a bit past its zeitgeist prime.

Name : Roger Moore / Alias : Orlando Sentinel
The whole enterprise collapses from exhaustion about two-thirds of the way through. Still, a staggering number of the gags that Myers and Co. fling against the screen stick.

Name : Eric Harrison / Alias : Houston Chronicle
Austin Powers in Goldmember is a cinematic car wreck, a catastrophic collision of tastelessness and gall that nevertheless will leave fans clamoring for another ride.

Name : Craig D. Lindsey / Alias : Village Voice
The movie meanders (Perkins seems as distractingly lost as Frost), but it can stir real sympathy.

Name : Desson Thomson / Alias : Washington Post
One-ups the Austin Powers sequel that came before it.

Name : John Anderson / Alias : Newsday
Goldmember is funny enough to justify the embarrassment of bringing a barf bag to the moviehouse.

Name : Connie Ogle / Alias : Miami Herald
The Austin Powers films have never, ever been anything approaching high-brow, but the uneven Goldmember seems to take a big step toward the extremely juvenile, with more scatological and fewer sex jokes.

Name : Lisa Schwarzbaum / Alias : Entertainment Weekly
Mike Myers and Austin Powers may stick to their old Beatle boots, but they've both come a long way, luvvy.

Name : Jeff Strickler / Alias : Minneapolis Star Tribune
The third installment in the series of super-spy spoofs, it's handcuffed by the ever-increasing load of baggage it carries.

Name : Guy Lodge / Alias : Variety
An impressively disciplined, occasionally transporting debut feature from globe-trotting American helmer Brian Perkins.
